Bombs Away
LSL has the most wonderful clients and just when we think we know them we learn one is a true “unsung hero”. Living a humble and modest life now, Jack Revelle (now a doctor in industrial engineering) was the operations officer who diffused two nuclear bombs that fell when a B-52 crashed in North Carolina in 1961. It was known as the Goldsboro Broken Arrow incident. For 50 years he could not talk about what he did, not even to his wife. Click here for the full story.

June 9, 2012 – 2012 Business of the Year
The votes are in and its official – LSL CPAs is the Murrieta Chamber of Commerce 2012 Small Business of the Year! LSL was chosen from a group of seven nominees and presented with the award at the Chamber's annual dinner gala event on June 9th. The Temecula Valley office team, led by Sue Matz and Donna Thomas-McNeely, has worked extremely hard over the last several years to promote LSL and the exceptional service we provide and this award shows that it is paying off.  This award demonstrates our continued commitment toward our vision of becoming the firm of choice offering assurance, tax and advisory services in the Temecula Valley.

April 20, 2012 - CSUF Accounting Society Golf Tournament
A great opportunity for LSL to mingle with CSUF alumni, faculty and students while enjoying a fun-filled day of golf!

March 20, 2012 - Dealer Day in Sacramento
Over 200 auto dealers and industry leaders and sponsors (including LSL) traveled to Sacramento to attend the 2012 Dealer Day Legislative Conference. They held dozens of meetings with legislators and staffers at the State Capitol to discuss current and upcoming legislation affecting the industry and later that evening shared a cocktail dinner with over 30 legislators

January 19, 2012 – Orange County Auto Dealers Association Annual Meeting
LSL supported, as both sponsor and participants, the OCADA Annual Meeting at the Westin South Coast Plaza. Baseball Hall of Famer Cal Ripkin, Jr. was the featured speaker at the meeting and members of the firm had the pleasure of meeting him in person at the VIP reception prior to the event. OCADA supports automobile dealerships throughout Orange County and puts on the annual Orange County Auto Show at the Anaheim Convention Center.

January 12, 2012 – Southland Motor Car Dealers Association Annual Meeting and Officer Installation
LSL supported, as both sponsor and participants, the SMCDA's 80th Annual Meeting at the Virginia Country Club in Long Beach. The organization installed dealer John Davis, a third generation president. Southland provides business association support for automobile dealerships and is a major supporter of the Southland/Cerritos College Transportation Technologies (SCCTT), a facility at Cerritos College to provide education and training for future service technicians.

September 2011 – Speaker Presentation at Auto Dealers Office Management Association
LSL partners Brandon Burrows, CPA and Shelly Jackley, CPA were the featured speakers at the Los Angeles, Orange County and Inland Empire Chapter meetings during September 2011. September 15, 2011 – Northwood Univeristy Scholarship Golf Tournament
LSL supported, as both sponsors and participants, the 21st Annual Northwood University Scholarship Golf Tournament. The tournament was held at the beautiful Monarch Beach Golf Links in Dana Point, CA. The funds raised by this event will assist Northwood University in sustaining their mission and philosophy of developing the future leaders of a global, free-enterprise society.

August 19, 2011 – Murrieta Chamber of Commerce Annual Golf Classic
LSL brings home the bronze! Don Slater, partner at LSL, with the rest of his foursome won third place at the annual Murrieta tournament which was held this year at The Golf Club at Rancho California. In addition, as an active member of the Chamber, LSL was a major tournament sponsor and glad to be part of such a fun day on the course.

July 25, 2011 – SMCDA Scholarship Golf Tournament
LSL recently sponsored, and participated in, the Southland Motor Car Dealers Association annual Scholarship Golf Tournament. Since 2006, this tournament has raised over $150,000 in automotive scholarship money. Thanks to all those involved, education in the automotive industry has taken another step forward.
