Education
Rich graduated from California State University, Fullerton with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in accounting in 1985.
Experience
Prior to joining the firm in 1989, Rich worked for the United States Defense Department; there he provided consulting services to U. S. Attorneys and performed other contract audits. Rich became a CPA in 1992 and a partner in 2000.
Rich specializes in the audits of municipalities and their related entities. He currently is a technical reviewer and member of the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) and the California Society of Municipal Finance Officers (CSMFO). Rich has acted as a chairperson in these organizations as well as provided public presentations as they relate to current municipal accounting issues.
Professional Organizations
Rich is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and California Society of Certified Public Accountants, Government Finance Officers Association and the California Society of Municipal Finance Officers.
He currently sits on the California State Board of Accountancy’s Qualification Committee, which is an advisory committee established to examine and to make recommendations for all applicants for the license of certified public accountant.
